April 12, 2024 - RICHMOND, VA –The Collegiate Running Association (CRA), in partnership with the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K presented by Kroger, welcomed more than 1,700 college students to Richmond on Saturday for the 2025 Collegiate 10K Road Race National Championship. Now in its 11th consecutive year, the championship was once again held as part of one of Richmond’s most iconic race weekends and featured a $3,000 prize purse for top collegiate finishers.

In the men’s race, Henry Haase, 21, of the University of Richmond, emerged victorious in a thrilling showdown. The cross-country standout claimed the title in 30:31, improving on his third-place finish from 2024. Haase pulled away late from Nate Jennings (William & Mary), who finished second in 30:43, while Conor Clifford (University of Georgia) helped push the early pace and slipped to fourth.  Haase’s last mile of the race was under 4:40.

Richmond’s, Taylor Healy charged hard over the later part of the race to claim 3rd in 32:04 with splits of 16:13 and 15:51 for the 2nd half.

“It's just so exciting—warming up with our team, supporting each other,” said Haase. “We really wanted to show up and represent the University of Richmond well.”

On the women’s side, Ryen Frazier (NC State University) made history by winning her third consecutive CRA Collegiate 10K title. The former cross-country standout and current PhD student took command of the race early, cruising through 5K in 18:02 and closing strong running the second half of the race in 17:15 to finish in 35:19. Frazier previously won in 2023 and 2024 becoming the first runner to win three consecutive titles.

The next four finishers hailed from the University of Richmond, led by Katie Sinclair (36:55), followed by Charlotte Hudson (37:57), Paige Joyce (38:07), and Addie Cohen (38:09), who ran impressive negative splits after passing the 5K mark together in 19:23.

The top three male and female collegiate finishers earned a share of the $3,000 prize purse, while the top ten in each division received commemorative awards.

In total, over 25,000 runners entered this year’s Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K, reinforcing its status as Richmond’s largest block party and a premier destination event for athletes and fans alike.

The Collegiate Running Association continued its partnership with Jambar, the official energy bar of the CRA. Jambar’s commitment to organic nutrition and community-focused wellness aligns with the CRA’s mission to promote healthy, active lifestyles among college students. Samples were distributed at the race expo and post-race festival, and top collegiate finishers received Jambar products as part of their prize package.

“This event has truly become a cornerstone of our mission,” said CRA co-founder and president Steve Taylor. “We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of Sports Backers, Richmond Region Tourism, and the many partners and volunteers who make this possible. Each year, we’re proud to carry on this tradition by welcoming over 1,700 student-athletes to Richmond. Since launching the CRA in 2013, our goal has been to create meaningful racing opportunities for college students of all levels—from first-time 10K finishers to future Olympians.”

Following the race, the CRA hosted a Champions Warm-Down and Photo Opportunity near the awards stage, providing collegiate runners the chance to cool down, connect, and celebrate their achievements.
